This is a read-along picture book for ages 4-7, using relatively simple vocabulary and bright, colorful illustrations. The story was created by Scottish-American author Annie Hallinan, and is illustrated by Amy Preveza, the same artist who did the marvelous work on "The Sweetest Christmas Eve."
The story is built around the adventures of a Petrith Pin and his first day at stuffed-toy school. The cover artwork shows Petrith and his mom walking to the Stuffed Animal school. Alert readers will observe bunny rabbits, a purple giraffe and other toys also attending the school. One of my favorite nuances are the abundance of bluebirds that Amy has scattered through the images.
The book was released May 17, 2017. Available from indy book stores and digital retailers, the hardbound, archival-quality version can be found using ISBN 978-0-9971477-2-8 or the Library of Congress Control Number 2017937029. It's also available on Amazon in paperback.
