A Circuitous Jump to Children's Stories
This illustration by Ines Ritter sets the stage in the upcoming "Blueberry" book. There are some nasty rascals in that basket, and Ines' pencil gracefully catches the building tension. The illustration is a segment of a larger graphic showing life in the garden.
This book is targeted at younger readers than "The Sweetest Christmas Eve" and the artwork captures this more playful mood.
Ines has a degree in fine arts and general education, and another degree in digital medical technology — talk about your over-achiever! She started her career at several advertising agencies in Germany where she worked with clients such as Sony Classical, Oper Frankfurt, and other branding and product development projects.
Ines moved to the U.S. in 1999 and joined the U.S. Army. She served two tours overseas where children's books and colorful illustrations did not often come into the equation.
She now lives in Southern Pines, NC and is actively involved in the equestrian community there.
